The Six Corps of AMEDD
There are six corps within the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD): the Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Dental Corps, Veterinary Corps, Medical Service Corps, and Medical Specialist Corps. Each plays a vital role in Army healthcare.
Comprised of commissioned physicians (M.D. or D.O.) who practice in over 40 specialties.
Focuses on nursing services and leadership to enhance Soldier health and readiness.
Provides dental services to ensure the readiness of the Total Force.
Oversees and conducts Department of Defense veterinary activities.
